1953 Dodge Job-Rated Long Bed Pick Up Truck 1976 1

Description
1953 Dodge "Job-Rated" pick up truck nicknamed "GR8OLDY". I purchased the truck in high school from a local Baldwin Maryland farmer. It was my reliable daily transportation for many years. 28 years later, we (Wife, Daughter, Dad and I) decided to restore it, modernize the drive train and give it some attitude! We recently took the truck back to show the farmer (99 years old!, Son is 78) and they were in tears with joy to see/hear the truck still thriving. It now has: all stainless bolts/hardware, is powered by a 572 GM NASCAR crate motor, 9" Detroit Locker/Strange rear, Sanderson headers w/dual 3" stainless exhaust, QTP SS cutouts, magnaflow mufflers, Flaming River steering column, 1972 Nova front clip, Vintage air, Colorado Customs Steering Wheel, Air Technologies ride, Genie Shifter, Billet Specialties Wheels, Demon Carb, 4 cow hide interior, 1949 Mercury Handles, 1962 Rolls Royce roof, twin AC Cobra fuel fills, 1939 Chevy taillights and more. We stretched and boxed the frame 18", extended the bed from 7.5 feet to 9 feet with new 9 foot sheet metal & pipe; smooth running boards were also made from scratch; NOS rear tailgate has since been installed as well as rear floor mounted stainless tool boxes and a Rampage motorcycle lift for my vintage 1950s styled Harley Davidson Road King Classic. It has truly been a family project with many thanks to Ron Yeager (of Rons Rods in Kingsville, MD) for his metal, mechanical, and artistic expertise. The old Job-Rated is driving across the US attending many shows and events while thriving on Texaco fuel!
