Description
My husband built and painted this car for me to cruise-in and take to car shows. The final build here as seen in the photos took only 9 months as he sped it up once we found out I had MS and weren''t sure how long I could drive it. He then named it OVRKIL which we thought fitting for my show/street car. Five years after build and after winning several awards at indoor shows like Seattle Roadster Show as well as outdoor shows and getting some rock chips in the paint from driving it we decided it was time to run it down the track before we paint and show again. It''s running solid mid-10''s and we just finished participating in the tv show Pinks Allout. My little car did a decent job for a show/street car that''s never been in an official race before and even got in the Pinks All Out 32! We''ve now retired it to just cruising and car shows again. Stats on my 1969 Pro-Street Camaro - .030 350 Supercharged 671, Appx. 700hp, Trick Flow Heads, Schneider Solid Cam, Barry Grant 650cfm carbs, Hooker Super Comp Headers, MSD Distributor & Ignition, Barry Grant Fuel Pump & Filter, Wilwood Front Disc Brakes, QA1 Front Coil-Over Shocks, 4-link suspension, cage & 9” housing by John Heft, 35 spline spool, 4:11 gears, 3000 stall converter, 31x18.50 Hoosier tires, Centerline Convo Pro Wheels, Smooth firewall, complete new floor, Frame welded & filled, 3" Spintech exhaust, Ron Francis Wiring, Custom fabricated Dash & Interior, Paint by Brian Moore. Thank you to all the people who have congratulated me and my car! To those who have been saying things about fixin' - I don't call it fixin' when asking for help on almost every Camaro forum, cardomain, motortopia, asking for help from my friends (both old and new), co-workers, family and having friends ask friends for help, going to cruise-ins and local parts stores we frequent with flyers, even asking my horse-riding friends and trainer's friends and clients to help - I don't call this fixin', I call it hard work. I worked my butt off asking people to vote for my car IF they liked it. If not, they didn't have to vote and I know for sure some didn't. Bottom-line, I worked hard for the votes I got and am very appreciative to the people who took the time to give them to me - Thank you.
